कहा जाता है कि १८४० में एक चरवाहे को स्वप्न आया था, जिसके बाद बागुंड-भादसोड़ा सीमा पर खुदाई से तीन मूर्तियाँ मिली थीं. इनमें से एक मूर्ति को मंडफिया में स्थापित किया गया, जो आज सांवरिया सेठ मंदिर के रूप में प्रसिद्ध है.

यह मंदिर भक्तों के लिए धन और सफलता का आशीर्वाद देने वाला माना जाता है, इसलिए इसे ‘सांवरिया सेठ’ कहा जाता है.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust (SRJBTKshetra) is set up by Government of India to construct the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya at Shri Ram Janmbhoomi. Hon’able Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced The Trust formation in Lok Sabha on 5th February, 2020.

श्रीराम जन्मभूमि मंदिर से जुड़ी इतिहास की सच्चाइयों को सर्वोच्च अदालत ने स्वीकार किया ।भारत सरकार ने न्यायालय के निर्देश पर श्रीराम जन्मभूमि के लिए

श्रीराम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र” नाम से ट्रस्ट गठित किया ।माननीय प्रधान मंत्री नरेन्द्र भाई मोदी ने 5 अगस्त को अयोध्या में पूजन करके मंदिर निर्माण की प्रक्रिया को गति प्रदान की है । आप इन तथ्यों से परिचित हैं ।।मंदिर के वास्तु का दायित्व अहमदाबाद के चंद्रकान्त सोमपुरा जी पर है ।वे वर्ष १९८६ से जन्मभूमि मन्दिर निर्माण की देखभाल कर रहे हैं। “लार्सन टुब्रो कम्पनी ” को मंदिर निर्माण का कार्य दिया है, निर्माता कंपनी के सलाहकार के रूप में ट्रस्ट ने “टाटा कंसल्टेंट इंजीनियर्स ” को चुना है । संपूर्ण मंदिर पत्थरों से बनेगा। मन्दिर तीन मंज़िला होगा । प्रत्येक मंज़िल की ऊँचाई 20 फ़ीट होगी, मंदिर की लंबाई 360 फ़ीट तथा चौड़ाई 235 फ़ीट है , भूतल से 16.5 फ़ीट ऊँचा मंदिर का फ़र्श बनेगा, भूतल से गर्भ गृह के शिखर की ऊँचाई 161 फीट होगी । धरती के नीचे 200 फीट गहराई तक मृदा परीक्षण तथा भविष्य के सम्भावित भूकम्प के प्रभाव का अध्ययन हुआ है । ज़मीन के नीचे 200 फीट तक भुरभुरी बालू पायी गयी है, गर्भगृह के पश्चिम में कुछ दूरी पर ही सरयू नदी का प्रवाह है । इस भौगोलिक परिस्तिथि में 1000 वर्ष आयु वाले पत्थरों के मन्दिर का भार सहन कर सकने वाली मज़बूत व टिकाऊ नींव की ड्राइंग पर आई आई टी बंबई, आई आई टी दिल्ली ,आई आई टी चेन्नई , आई आई टी गुवाहाटी ,केंद्रीय भवन अनुसंधान संस्थान रुड़की , लार्सन टूब्रो व टाटा के इंजीनियर आपस में परामर्श कर रहे हैं । बहुत शीघ्र नीव का प्रारूप तैय्यार होकर नीव निर्माण कार्य प्रारम्भ होगा । भारत वर्ष की वर्तमान पीढ़ी को इस मंदिर के इतिहास की सच्चाइयों से अवगत कराने की योजना बनी है । देश की कम से कम आधी आबादी को श्रीराम जन्मभूमि मंदिर की एतिहासिक सच्चाई से अवगत कराने के लिये देश के प्रत्येक कोने में घर घर जाकर संपर्क करेंगे, अरुणाचल प्रदेश, नागालैंड, अंडमान निकोबार , रणकच्छ , त्रिपुरा सभी कोनों पर जाएँगे, समाज को राम जन्मभूमि के बारे में पढ़ने के लिए साहित्य दिया जाएगा, देश में गहराई तक इच्छा है कि भगवान की जन्मभूमि पर मंदिर बने । जिसप्रकार जन्मभूमि को प्राप्त करने के लिये लाखों भक्तों ने कष्ट सहे , सतत सक्रिय रहे , सहयोग किया , उसी प्रकार करोड़ों लोगों के स्वैच्छिक सहयोग से मन्दिर बने ।। स्वाभाविक है जब जनसंपर्क होगा लाखों कार्यकर्ता गाँव और मोहल्लों में जाएँगे तो समाज स्वेच्छा से कुछ न कुछ निधि समर्पण करेगा। भगवान का काम है, मन्दिर भगवान का घर है, भगवान के कार्य में धन बाधा नहीं हो सकता , समाज का समर्पण कार्यकर्ता स्वीकार करेंगे , आर्थिक विषय में पारदर्शिता बहुत आवश्यक है, पारदर्शिता बनाए रखने के लिए हमने दस रुपया, सौ रुपया, एक हज़ार रुपया के कूपन व रसीदें छापी हैं । समाज जैसा देगा उसी के अनुरूप कार्यकर्ता कूपन या रसीद देंगे । करोड़ों घरों में भगवान के मंदिर का चित्र पहुँचेगा ।

सती नारायणी माता मंदिर राजस्थान के मुख्य शहर अलवर से लगभग 80 और अमनबाग से 14 किलोमीटर दूर सरिस्का राष्ट्रीय उद्यान के किनारे पर स्थित अलवर का एक बहु प्रतिष्ठित मंदिर है। जहा नारायणी माता भगवान शिव की पहली पत्नी सती का अवतार रूप मानी जाती है। नारायणी माता मंदिर का निर्माण सफेद संगमरमर से किया गया है जिसे अच्छी तरह से सजाया और डिजाइन किया गया है। मंदिर की साइड में छोटा सा गर्म पानी का झरना इसे और अधिक लोकप्रिय बनाता है।

सती नारायणी माता मंदिर भारत में सैन समाज का एकमात्र मंदिर है जिसकी पवित्रता माउंट आबू, पुष्कर और रामदेवरा में मंदिरों के समान मानी जाती है। यह मंदिर सैन समाज के लिए उनकी आस्था का महत्वपूर्ण केंद्र बना हुआ है। जहा वसंत मोसम के दोरान देश के बिभिन्न कोनो से तीर्थ यात्रियों के भीड़ देखी जाती है। इस मंदिर में बनिया (अग्रवाल) को जाने की अनुमति नहीं है। 1993 से पहले हर साल मंदिर स्थल पर स्थानीय लोगों द्वारा एक बड़े मेले का आयोजन किया जाता था, जिसे स्वर्गीय श्री राजीव गांधी द्वारा प्रतिबंधित किया गया था। यदि आप अपने सांसारिक जीवन के सभी तनावों से दूर कुछ समय शांति और आस्था का अनुभव करना चाहते है तो आपको अलवर के इस पवित्र मंदिर की यात्रा अवश्य करनी चाहिए।

1. नारायणी माता मंदिर का इतिहास – Narayani Mata Temple History In Hindi

मान्यता है कि सेन समाज की कुलदेवी माता नारायणी प्रथम बार उनके पति के साथ वे अपने ससुराल जा रही थीं। चूंकि उस समय आवागमन के साधन नहीं थे, इसलिए दोनों पैदल ही जा रहे थे। गर्मियों के दिन थे, इसीलिए उन्होंने जंगल में एक वट वृक्ष के नीचे विश्राम करने का विचार किया। जब वे विश्राम कर रहे थे, तभी अचानक एक सांप ने आकर उनके पति को ढंस लिया और वे वहीं मर गये। कहा जाता है कि जंगल सूना था और दोपहर का समय था। नारायणी माता बिलख-बिलख कर रोने लगीं। शाम के समय कुछ ग्वाल अपनी गायों को लेकर वहां से गुजरे तो नारायणी माता ने उनसे उनके पति के लिए चिता बनाने को कहा। ग्वालों ने आसपास से लकड़ियाँ लाकर चिता तैयार की। ओर इसीलिए अपने पति को साथ लेकर नारायणी माता भी उनके साथ चिता पर बैठ गईं।

अचानक चिता में आग प्रज्वलित हो गई, जिसे ग्वालों ने चमत्कार मान नारायणी माता से प्रार्थना की कि- “हे माता! हम आपको देवी रूप मानकर आपसे कुछ मांगना चाहते हैं।” चिता से आवाज़ आई कि- “जो मांगना है मांग लो।” ग्वालों ने कहा कि- “हे माता! हमारे इस स्थान पर पानी की कमी है, जिससे हमारे जानवर मर रहे हैं। कृपा कर हम पर दया करें।” चिता से आवाज आई कि- “तुम में से एक व्यक्ति इस चिता से लकड़ी उठा कर भागो और पीछे मुड़कर मत देखना। जहां भी तुम पीछे मुड़कर देखोगे, पानी की धारा वहीं रुक जायेगी।” एक ग्वाला लकड़ी उठाकर भागा और भागते-भागते वह दो कोस के करीब पहुंच गया। उसके मन में शंका हुई कि कहीं देखूँ पानी आ रहा है या नहीं और जैसे ही उसने पीछे मुढ़कर देखा पानी वहीं रुक गया। आज उसी चिता वाले स्थान पर कुण्ड बना दिया गया है और उस कुण्ड से धारा के रूप में पानी दो कोस दूर जाकर पानी समाप्त हो जाता है, जो एक चमत्कार है।

नारायणी माता मंदिर प्रतिदिन सुबह 8.00 से रात 8.00 तक तीर्थ यात्रियों के प्रवेश के लिए खुला रहता है आप इस समय के बीच कभी भी माता के दर्शन के लिए नारायणी माता मंदिर जा सकतें हैं।

3. नारायणी माता धाम कुंड

अलवर जिले का यह नारायणी धाम अपने चमत्कारों की वजह जन-जन की आस्था का केंद्र बन चुका है। सैन समाज के साथ-साथ अब यहां और भी समाज के लोग माता के दरबार में आस्था के साथ शीश नवाते है। यहां अविरल रूप से बह रही जलधारा सभी के लिये आश्चर्य है।

नारायणी धाम पर कुंड से अटूट जलधारा का रहस्य आज भी कोई नहीं जान सका है। पानी की धार लगातार बनी हुई है। न धार की दिशा बदली है न जगह। न वह स्थान बदला है, जहां तक पानी बहता हुआ जाता है।

नारायणी धाम में जलधारा का महत्व गंगा सरीखा माना जाता है। यहीं वजह है कि यहां स्नान से पुण्य की प्राप्ति होती है और व्यक्ति विभिन्न रोगों से मुक्त होता है। इस मान्यता के चलते यहां हर साल लाखों भक्त माता के दर्शन के लिये पहुंचते है ओर इस पवित्र जलधारा में स्नान कर पुण्य प्राप्त करते है। यहां पर महिलाओं और पुरुषों के स्नान के लिये अलग—अलग व्यवस्था है।

श्री राम जन्मभूमि मंदिर एक हिंदू मंदिर है जो भारत के उत्तर प्रदेश के अयोध्या में श्री राम जन्मभूमि के पवित्र तीर्थ स्थल पर बनाया जा रहा है। श्री राम जन्मभूमि को हिंदुओं द्वारा भगवान राम का जन्मस्थान माना जाता है। मंदिर का निर्माण श्री राम जन्मभूमि तीर्थक्षेत्र द्वारा किया जाएगा। मंदिर को गुजरात के सोमपुरा परिवार द्वारा डिजाइन किया गया है।

राम मंदिर के लिए मूल डिजाइन 1988 में अहमदाबाद के सोमपुरा परिवार द्वारा तैयार किया गया था। सोमपुर कम से कम 15 पीढ़ियों से दुनिया भर के 100 से अधिक मंदिरों के मंदिर के डिजाइन का हिस्सा रहा है। राम मंदिर के लिए एक नया डिजाइन, मूल डिजाइन से कुछ बदलावों के साथ, 2020 में सोमपुरवासियों द्वारा तैयार किया गया था। यह मंदिर 235 फीट चौड़ा, 360 फीट लंबा और 161 फीट ऊंचा होगा। मंदिर के मुख्य वास्तुकार चंद्रकांत सोमपुरा के साथ उनके दो बेटे निखिल सोमपुरा और आशीष सोमपुरा भी हैं, जो आर्किटेक्ट भी हैं। सोमपुरा परिवार ने राम मंदिर को ‘नागरा’ शैली की वास्तुकला के बाद बनाया है, जो भारतीय मंदिर वास्तुकला के प्रकारों में से एक है। मंदिर परिसर में एक प्रार्थना कक्ष होगा, “एक रामकथा कुंज (व्याख्यान कक्ष), एक वैदिक पाठशाला (शैक्षिक सुविधा), एक संत निवास (संत निवास) और एक यति निवास (आगंतुकों के लिए छात्रावास)” और अन्य सुविधाएं जैसे संग्रहालय और एक कैफेटेरिया। एक बार पूरा होने के बाद मंदिर परिसर दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा हिंदू मंदिर होगा। प्रस्तावित मंदिर का एक मॉडल 2019 में प्रयाग कुंभ मेले के दौरान प्रदर्शित किया गया था।

अयोध्या में 5 अगस्त को राम मंदिर की नींव रखी जाएगी। राम मंदिर भूमि पूजन के लिए काउंटडाउन शुरू हो चुका है। तैयारियां लगभग पूरी होने को है। 3 अगस्त से कार्यक्रमों का दौर शुरू हो जाएगा। भूमि पूजन के लिए तैयारियां लगभग पूरी होने को है। 5 अगस्त को होने वाले भूमि पूजन की गूंज देश-दुनिया तक पहुंचने वाली है। न्यूयॉर्क के टाइम्स स्क्वायर में लगे बिलबोर्ड पर भगवान राम और भव्य राम मंदिर के थ्रीडी फोटो दिखाए जाएंगे।

Karni Mata Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Karni Mata at Deshnoke, 30 km from Bikaner, in Rajasthan, India. It is also known as the Temple of Rats.

The temple is famous for the approximately 25,000 black rats that live, and are revered, in the temple. These holy rats are called kabbas, and many people travel great distances to pay their respects. The temple draws visitors from across the country for blessings, as well as curious tourists from around the world.

The legend

Legend has it that Laxman, son of Karni mata, drowned in a pond in Kapil Sarovar in Kolayat Tehsil while he was attempting to drink from it. Karni Mata implored Yama, the god of death, to revive him. First refusing, Yama eventually relented, permitting Laxman and all of Karni Mata’s male children to be reincarnated as rats.

Eating food that has been nibbled on by the rats is considered to be a “high honour”. If one of them is killed, it must be replaced with another one made of solid silver.

Architecture

The building was completed in its current form in the early 20th century in the late Mughal style by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner.

In front of the temple is a beautiful marble facade, which has solid silver doors built by Maharaja Ganga Singh. Across the doorway are more silver doors with panels depicting the various legends of the Goddess. The image of the Goddess is enshrined in the inner sanctum.

White Rats

Out of all of the thousands of rats in the temple, there are a few white rats, which are considered to be especially holy. They are believed to be the manifestations of Karni Mata herself and her four sons. Sighting them is a special blessing and visitors put in extensive efforts to bring them forth, offering prasad, a sweet holy food.

Worship

The temple is opened to the public early in the morning at 04:00. Charan priests perform Mangla-Ki-Aarti and offer bhog (special food) in worship. Devotees make offerings to the rats, which roam about the temple in large numbers and are considered auspicious. There are two kinds of offerings made: the ‘dwar-bhent’ is attributed to the priests and the workers, while the ‘kalash-bhent’ is utilised for the temple maintenance and development.

Karni Mata Fair

Karni Mata Fair is held twice a year at Deshnok:

The first and larger fair is held in March–April during the Navratras from Chaitra Shukla Ekam to Chaitra Shukla Dashmi.
The second fair is held in September–October, also during the Navratras, from Ashvin Shukla to Ashwin Shukla Dashmi.
During Navratri thousands of people travel to the temple by foot.

गलताजी, जयपुर, राजस्थान स्थित एक प्राचीन तीर्थस्थल है। निचली पहाड़ियों के बीच बगीचों से परे स्थित मंदिर, मंडप और पवित्र कुंडो के साथ हरियाली युक्त प्राकृतिक दृश्य इसे आन्नददायक स्थल बना देते हैं। दीवान कृपाराम द्वारा निर्मित उच्चतम चोटी के शिखर पर बना सूर्य देवता का छोटा मंदिर शहर के सारे स्थानों से दिखाई पड़ता है।जयपुर. शहर में बना गलता मंदिर सावन में अपना अलग महत्व रखता है। राजस्थान के कई जिलों से कावडिए़ यहां जल भरने के लिए पहुंचते हैं। यहां बना गलता कुंड का पानी भी पवित्र माना जाता है

गलताजी मंदिर जयपुर से केवल 10 किमी दूर स्थित है। जयपुर के आभूषणों में से एक, मंदिर परिसर में प्राकृतिक ताजा पानी का झरना और 7 पवित्र कुण्ड शामिल हैं। इन कुण्डों के बीच, ‘Galta कुंड’, पवित्रतम एक है और सूखी कभी नहीं माना जाता है। शुद्ध पानी की एक वसंत ‘गौमुख’, एक रॉक, एक गाय के सिर की तरह आकार टैंक में से बहती है। एक शानदार संरचना, इस भव्य मंदिर, गुलाबी बलुआ पत्थर में बनाया गया है कम पहाड़ियों के बीच, और अधिक एक महल या ‘हवेली’ एक पारंपरिक मंदिर से की तरह लग रहे करने के लिए संरचित है। Galta बंदर मंदिर हरे-भरे पेड़-पौधों की विशेषता भव्य परिदृश्य का एक वापस छोड़ दिया है, और जयपुर शहर का एक आकर्षक दृश्य प्रस्तुत करता है। यह मंदिर है कि इस क्षेत्र में ध्यान केन्द्रित करना बंदरों के कई जनजातियों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। धार्मिक भजन और मंत्र, प्राकृतिक सेटिंग के साथ संयुक्त, जो वहां का दौरा किसी के लिए एक शांतिपूर्ण वातावरण प्रदान करते हैं।

इतिहास

दीवान राव कृपाराम, सवाई जय सिंह द्वितीय के लिए एक परिचर, 18 वीं सदी में, गलताजी मंदिर का निर्माण किया
यह माना जाता है कि, सन्त गालव अपने जीवन के सभी यहाँ बिताए और 100 वर्षों के लिए अपने ‘तपस्या’ का प्रदर्शन किया। उनकी तपस्या से प्रसन्न, देवताओं उसके सामने प्रकट हुए और प्रचुर मात्रा में पानी के साथ पूजा की अपनी जगह को आशीर्वाद दिया। इस महान ‘ऋषि’ का सम्मान करने के लिए, एक मंदिर का निर्माण किया गया था और यह उसके नाम पर किया गया था। गलताजी के प्राकृतिक स्प्रिंग्स में एक डुबकी ले रहा है बहुत ही शुभ माना जाता है और अपने पापों के एक व्यक्ति को शुद्ध करने के लिए कहा है।

गलताजी मंदिर अरावली पहाड़ियों में स्थित है और घने पेड़ों और झाड़ियों से घिरा है। इस शानदार इमारत चित्रित दीवारों, छतों और खम्भों गोल से सजी से अलंकृत किया है। इसके अलावा kunds से, वहाँ भगवान राम, भगवान कृष्ण और भगवान हनुमान के मंदिर मंदिर परिसर के भीतर स्थित हैं।

यात्रा का सर्वोत्तम समय

जनवरी के मध्य में हर साल, ‘मकर संक्रांति’, पर आगंतुकों की एक बड़ी भीड़ यहाँ आने के पवित्र कुंड में डुबकी लगाने के लिए। सूर्यास्त सबसे अच्छा समय है, क्योंकि इस समय, आप मंदिर टैंक की ओर आते बंदरों का एक बड़ा परिवार है, एक स्नान के लिए कर सकते हैं गवाह इस अनुग्रह मंदिर की यात्रा करने के लिए है। इस मंदिर के लिए मिलने का समय सूर्योदय से सूर्यास्त तक कर रहे हैं।

History

The temple of Jeenmata was a place of pilgrimage from early times and was repaired and rebuilt several times. There is a popular belief which has come down to people through the centuries that in a village Ghanghu of Churu, King Ghangh loved and married an Apsara (nymph) on the condition that he would not visit her palace without prior information. King Ghangh got a son called Harsha and a daughter Jeen. Afterwards she again conceived but as chance would have it king Ghangh went to her palace without prior intimation and thus violated solemn vow he had made to the Apsara. Instantly she left the king and fled away with her son Harsha and daughter Jeen whom she abandoned at the place where presently the temple stands. The two children here practiced extreme asceticism. Later a Chauhan ruler built the temple at that place.

Recognition

(Shekhawat & Rao Rajputs and other rajput residing in shekhawati area) and Jangir, of Rajasthan. A large number of Jeen Mata followers reside in Kolkata (who are enrooted to shekhawati) who keep visiting Jeen Mata temple. People who revere Jeen mata as their mother pray for birth of male child in the family and vow to visit the temple only after a son is born. After the birth of male child the entire family visits Jeen Mata ji and the first hair cut (known as Jadula in Rajasthani language) of the kid is offered at the temple premises. Followers also offer offerings of 50 kg prasad (sawa man equals 50 kg) known as sawa mani at the temple.

Pooja Timing

The temple opens at 4:00 AM and closes at 10:00 PM. Mata ji is given arathi at 4:00 AM, 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Archana, Abhishekam and Arathi are the daily rituals performed in the temple.

नरौरा, बुलंदशहर : सर्वमंगला मां बेला भवानी शक्तिपीठ नरौरा गंगा किनारे से चार किलोमीटर की दूरी पर दिल्ली राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर स्थित है। स्थानीय एवं दूर दराज के श्रद्धालुओं की आस्था एवं निष्ठा का तीर्थ है। यहां मां के दर्शन के लिए दरबार में पूरे वर्ष श्रद्धालुओं की भीड़ लगी रहती है, लेकिन नवरात्रों में मां के दरबार में भव्य मेला लगता है। यहाँ पूरे नवरात्र मां के भवन में हवन होता है। वहीं सच्चे मन से मां के दरबार में फरियाद लगाने वाले भक्तों की सभी मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण होती हैं।

मंदिर का इतिहास

सर्वमंगला मां बेला भवानी शक्तिपीठ के बारे में प्राचीन गर्ग संहिता में भी उल्लेख है। कहा जाता है कि एक बार मां पार्वती ने भगवान शिव से समस्त धर्मग्रंथों के महत्व जानने की इच्छा प्रकट की। इतना सुनकर भगवान शिव ने मां पार्वती से कहा कि हे देवी गंगा किनारे स्थित वृद्धकेशी सिद्धपीठ वर्तमान में नरवर से चार मील दूर विल्वकेश वन वर्तमान में बेलौन है तुम वहां जाओ। कलयुग में तुम्हें इन समस्त ग्रंथों के महत्व का पूर्ण ज्ञान होगा। इसके बाद मां पार्वती बेलौन में पत्थर की मूर्ति के रूप में प्रतिष्ठित हो गई। एक रात्रि मां ने ग्वालियर नरेश को स्वप्न में दर्शन देकर अपने पत्थर रूप में प्रतिष्ठित होने की जानकारी दी। इसके बाद उन्होंने मां के मंदिर का निर्माण कराया।

मंदिर का विशेष महत्व

सर्वमंगला माँ बेला भवानी शक्तिपीठ बेलौन मंदिर में प्रतिदिन प्रात: एवं संध्या कालीन आरती के बाद ही मां के दर्शनों के लिए पट खोले जाते हैं। नवरात्रि में त्रयोदशी के दिन मां के भवन का विशेष श्रंगार होता है। हरे नारियल की भेंट चढ़ाई जाती है। रात्रि बेला में हवन होता है।

Kaila Devi Temple

With the blessings of Kaila Devi, the Yaduvanshi rulers of Karauli have always maintained a deep connection with the temple.

A detailed description of Kaila Devi Ji is given in the SkandaPurana in the 65th Adhyaya wherein the goddess is said to have proclaimed that in Kalyug her name would be “Kaila” and she would be worshipped as Kaileshwari by her devotees. Furthermore the Vedas say that in Kalyug the worship of Kaila Devi will grant immediate fulfillment.

The goddess Kaila Devi is considered to be a form of the same goddess-Maha-yogini Mahamaya who had taken birth as the child of Nanda-Yashoda, and with whom Lord Krishna was replaced as per the direction of Lord Vishnu. When Kansa tried to kill the girl child, she transformed into her Devi Roop and informed him that the one he attempted to kill was already safe and sound. She is now worshipped as Kaila Devi, and as Vindhyavasini and Hinglaj Mata at other places.

The arrival of the goddess’s likeness to this destination is a fascinating story. The statue was being carried on a bullock cart by a Yogi baba, fleeing from Nagarkot, to protect it. Kaila Devi meanwhile appeared to the sage Kedargiri assuring him that she would come to the people of the area. The Yogi’s sole bullock stopped in the central part of the hill amid the dense forest and refused to budge. By divine ordinance the statue was established at that very place.

With the blessings of Kaila Devi, the Yaduvanshi rulers of Karauli have always maintained a deep connection with the temple.

Maharaja Gopal Singh Ji laid the foundation of the temple in 1723 and the work was completed in 1730. He also established the statue of ChamundaJi, bringing it from the fort of Gagraun where it had been placed by the Khinchi ruler Mukund Das Ji in 1150.

Arjun Pal Ji built a large Kund, which exists to this date and was one of the earliest large-scale, man-made sources of water in the area.

Maharaja Bhanwar Pal Ji, coming to the throne in 1886, had the temple reconstructed with more modern architecture and had several facilities constructed for the pilgrims such as DurgaSagar well, and the BadiDharamshala. In 1927 Maharaja Bhom Pal Ji had improved roads constructed and established a power house. In 1947, Maharaja Ganesh Pal Ji had both the interior and exterior of the temple refurbished in marble. The current Maharaja, Krishna Chandra Pal Ji has also made several radical improvements and added multiple modern facilities. The courtyard has been expanded, and several additions made including the administrative block, the staff quarters, the Annapurna Canteen, a large pandal for waiting devotees, and demarcated channels to implement queues for darshan. New dharamshalas, Ram Bhavan and KansalBhavan have been built and some existing ones-SitaBhavan, Ratan Devi and the DholpurDharamshalahave been reconstructed.

Furthermore under the aegis of the Kaila Devi Charitable Trust a hundred bed hospital, the Kaila Devi Senior Secondary School with about 900 students, and a student’s hostel have been set up and are progressing rapidly. A large dam on the Kalisilriver has been repaired and expanded and two smaller dams have been constructed downstream.

The Kaila Devi temple has a glorious past and with the blessings of Kaila Devi Ji herself and with the prayers of her worshippers, has an equally great presence in the future.

Kaila Devi Festival

The annual festival of Kaila Devi is held at the village during Chaitra (Mar-Apr), lasting for a fortnight. Another attraction is the small temple dedicated to Bhairon, situated in the courtyard. Facing the shrine of Kaila Devi is a temple of Hanuman locally called ‘Languriya’.

The temple is located on the banks of the Kalisil River, a tributary of the Banas River in the hills of Aravali.

Govind Dev Ji Temple

The Vaishnava temple Govind Dev Ji is situated in Jaipur district in Rajasthan state of India. It is located in the City Palace complex. Murti is easily visible from City Palace. The temple is dedicated to Govind Dev Ji (Lord Krishna).This temple is among the 7 temples of Thakur of Vrindavan including Sri Radhavallabh ji, Shri Bankey Bihari Ji, Shri Govind Dev Ji and four others. The image of the deity (murti) was brought from Vrindavan here by Raja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. According to popular legend, Lord Krishna’s image in the temple looks exactly like Krishna’s form during his incarnation on Earth.

The deity originally belonged to Srila Rupa Goswami who was a disciple of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Legend

According to the legend, the Image of Lord Govind Devji was also called “Bajrakrit”- indicating thereby that it was created by Bajranabh – The Great Grand Son of Lord Krishna. Some 5,000 years back when Shri Bajranabh was around 13 years old, he asked his Grand Mother (daughter-in-law of Lord Krishna) as to how Lord Shri Krishna looked like; Then He made an image as per the description given by her. She however, said that not all but the feet of that image looked like those of Lord Shri Krishna. He made another image, yet she said that the Chest looked like that of Lord Shri Krishna. Thereafter, He made the Third Image and looking at the same she veiled her face as a show of modesty, and remarked that the face of the deity was exactly like that of Lord Sri Krishna.

The first one came to be known as “Madan Mohanji”. The second one was called as Lord “Gopinathji” and the Third One, the likeness of Krishna is LORD “Govind Devji”. With passing of ages the glories of the Indian Culture were being forgotten and the sands of time kept piling up. Together with every other thing these pious divine images were also lost from the memories of people. Some 500 years ago, legend has it that Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu asked one of his disciples to excavate the idol of Govinda, which had been buried there to protect it from the Mughal marauders.

Govind devji temple has high vibrating living spiritual atmosphere which enliven the heart’s of devotees with Lord Krishna’s loving spiritual energy emptying them from effects of materialism taking the soul in higher realms of peace.

For Vaishnavites, particularly followers of Lord Krishna, this is one of the most important temples outside Vrindavan.

‘Aartis’ and ‘Bhog’ are offered seven times a day, when the deity is unveiled for ‘Darshan’. Thousands of devotees visit the temple daily and an even larger number visit during Janmashtam
